Module 5 learning resources
Go through each of the resources below to learn more about the basic features of the three spreadsheet platforms. Although most have the same functionality, there are some variations you will want to know about so that you can make informed decisions about which ones you use.
#1 Unit expectations
For this unit you will be expected to work with 2 Spreadsheet applications - Google Docs Spreadsheets is a free web-based spreadsheet. Everyone has a Gmail account, so you all have access to it. For the second spreadsheet application, you may choose Microsoft Excel, or Mac's Numbers. Some people have both of these, so those people may choose. Some people only have one, so that is the one you will work with. Check the desktop computer in your classroom to see which is available. (Your Chromebook has Google Sheets, but your computer at home or a future workplace may have Excel or Numbers, so it is good to be familiar with other spreadsheet applications.)
The following 3 video tutorials are for Microsoft Excel, Mac's Numbers, and Google Docs Spreadsheets. Everyone should go through the Google Docs tutorial, and for your second you will choose the Excel or Numbers tutorial.
