#1 the beginner's guide to weebly - setting up a site
Watch the video below to see a "Basic Beginner's Guide to Weebly". This video will easily take you through the process of setting up your own website on Weebly: how to add titles, text, pictures, and pages, and how to publish your new website. Watch and pause the video as you set up your own Weebly website. The name of your website will be your first name, followed by the words, "tech site". Be sure to pick a template you like, and on the home page add the title, "Welcome to my website".
See item number 3 below to start thinking about what to put on your website.

#2 link your weebly back to your blog
Follow the directions in this video to add a gadget to the blog you made in Module 8 that will link your Weebly website to your blog.
#3 plan your website
This part is up to you. You will decide on a topic you are interested in - think of hobbies or sports you like, things you like to research or read about, or things you enjoy spending time on. Now you are going to plan your website based on that idea. You'll be able to use some of the tools later in this course to add interesting things to your website. Read the example below so you can get an idea about how you should plan. One idea that should give you plenty of content is to create a site to highlight and display your school work and projects.
For example: let's say you are interested in dog mushing - whether it's because you'd like to do it, or because you already do it. So you title your new Weebly website "Dog Mushing". Now you need to break your website down into parts. Some parts or categories that go with dog mushing are; sled dogs, sleds, races, equipment, and training. Now, on your site, you would make separate pages for each of those categories. Each of those pages is where you would organize and collect information (like pictures, text, links, and video) that help explain more about those categories.
Now, think of a topic you are interested and jot down some ideas about how you could break that topic down into categories.

#4 Lay out your website
Now that you have planned out an idea you are interested in, and broken it down into categories, you are ready to put those ideas onto your Weebly site. Whatever the interest area you chose (like "dog mushing" in the example above), make that the title on the home page of your Weebly. Use the categories you have come up with (AT LEAST 4) to create and name pages on your site.
